Brown Lentils
The Health Food Emporium Brown lentils are highly nutritious and are a good source of fibre, B vitamins, protein, essential minerals and are also a low GI food. Brown lentils are a variety that hold their shape, and can be used similarly to green lentils. They have a rich nutty flavour and are much quicker to cook than any other legumes as they do not require soaking. They are extremely versatile and absorb flavours well in soups, casseroles, salads and also make an excellent meat extender in veggie burgers.
