It contains 5 to 6 grams of fibre per serving, which can help you meet the recommended daily amount of fibre that should be taken in by the body on a daily basis. Couscous has a mild flavour which makes it easy to use in many different ways.

It is quick and simple to prepare, just add boiling water and let it sit for 5 minutes making it an almost instant low fat side dish. You can add exotic spices or sauces or leave it plain, use it as a salad base or an accompaniment for meat and vegetables.
