  • Used to make fermented drink.
  • Drink between 50ml and 100ml per day for your gut flora probiotic dose
  • PLEASE NOTE: Kefir is a living beverage and will keep fermenting if cold chain is broken. Please keep your kefir at 4°C.

To reactivate the kefir grains, please hydrate them with water. Add enough water to fully cover the grains and cover the container with a mesh cloth fixed by the rubber band or place the lid loosely on top to allow airflow. The reactivation process usually takes 3–7 days. Once the grains appear plump and active, you can begin fermentation.

For fermentation, use the following ratio:

  • 1 tablespoon kefir grains
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 250 ml water

Please avoid using untreated municipal water, as chlorine can affect the grains. Instead, use boiled and cooled municipal water or borehole/filtered water.

Allow the mixture to ferment for 24–48 hours.

The second fermentation (after removing the grains) is typically much stronger in flavour and carbonation than the initial fermentation.
